By scheduling services, requesting a quote, visiting our website, or otherwise engaging The Tint Smith for automotive, residential, or commercial services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you should not proceed with using our services.
2. Services Description
The Tint Smith provides professional window tinting and surface protection services for automotive, residential, and commercial clients in and around Lawrenceville, Georgia. Our core services include:
- Automotive window tinting, paint protection film (PPF), ceramic coatings, and detailing services performed at our shop location.
- Residential and commercial window tinting and related surface protection services performed on-site at your home or business.
All services are provided based on a consultation, the agreed scope of work, and estimates approved by you. The specific materials, film types, and service details will be confirmed at the time of booking or in your written estimate or work order.
3. Estimates & Payments
3.1 Estimates
Written or verbal estimates are based on the information available and provided at the time of quote. Estimates may change if:
- The scope of work is modified at your request.
- Additional services are added or removed.
- Undisclosed conditions or pre-existing damage are discovered that affect labor or materials.
We will communicate any necessary adjustments to pricing before proceeding whenever reasonably possible.
3.2 Payments
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, payment is due upon completion of services. For certain services or larger residential or commercial projects, a deposit may be required prior to scheduling or starting work.
Accepted payment methods may include cash, major credit or debit cards, and other commonly used electronic payment methods. Specific available methods may vary and can be confirmed at the time of booking or service.
4. Scheduling & Cancellations
4.1 Scheduling
All appointments must be scheduled in advance. For on-site residential and commercial services, scheduling may require coordination to ensure appropriate access and site readiness.
4.2 Cancellations & Rescheduling
We understand that plans can change. We ask that you provide reasonable notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment so we can offer that time to other clients.
A no-show, repeated rescheduling, or late cancellation may result in a cancellation fee or forfeiture of a deposit, where applicable. Specific cancellation timeframes and fees, if any, will be communicated at the time of booking.
For commercial projects, scheduling may depend on building access, security procedures, and coordination with other trades. Delays caused by restricted access or site conditions outside our control may require rescheduling and could impact project timelines.
5. Warranties & Limitations
5.1 Product Warranties
Many films and products we install may include manufacturer warranties. Any such warranties are subject to the manufacturer’s specific terms and conditions, which may include registration requirements, coverage limits, and exclusions. We are happy to explain available warranty information at the time of service.
5.2 Limitations
- Misuse, abuse, neglect, or improper care of the film, coating, or treated surfaces.
- Damage caused by accidents, collisions, vandalism, extreme weather, or other external events.
- Pre-existing damage or defects in glass, paint, trim, seals, or other surfaces.
- Installations performed outside of recommended guidelines or altered by third parties.
Film performance may vary based on glass type, existing damage, age of the vehicle or property, and environmental conditions such as sun exposure and temperature. We do not guarantee specific performance results beyond those provided by the manufacturer.
To maintain warranty coverage, you must follow all aftercare instructions provided by The Tint Smith and/or the product manufacturer. Failure to do so may void applicable warranties.
6. Liability Disclaimer
While we take great care with every vehicle and property, certain risks may exist due to age, condition, or pre-existing issues. By using our services, you acknowledge and agree that:
- The Tint Smith is not responsible for pre-existing damage to vehicles, glass, paint, trim, seals, electronics, or property.
- We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages of any kind, including but not limited to loss of use, loss of time, or loss of business.
- To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to services provided is limited to the amount you paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim.
7. Vehicle & Property Condition Acknowledgment
7.1 Automotive Services
By leaving your vehicle with The Tint Smith, you acknowledge that vehicles may have pre-existing wear, chips, scratches, or fragile components that can be affected during normal installation processes. In particular:
- Removal of old tint may reveal prior damage, imperfections, or weaknesses in the glass or defroster lines.
- Older vehicles or vehicles with previous installations may be more prone to minor cosmetic imperfections after film removal or replacement.
- We will exercise reasonable care, but we cannot be responsible for damage arising from pre-existing conditions.
7.2 Residential & Commercial Services
For property installations, you acknowledge that existing glass conditions, seals, frames, and window construction may impact installation results and long-term performance. In particular:
- Certain glass types (such as low-E, wired, or older glass) may have specific film compatibility considerations.
- Pre-existing cracks, chips, failed seals, or structural weaknesses may increase the risk of glass failure over time.
- The Tint Smith is not responsible for glass breakage or seal failure resulting from pre-existing weaknesses or conditions outside our control.
8. Commercial Project Terms
For commercial projects, additional terms may apply due to the size, scope, and coordination required. Unless otherwise agreed in writing:
- The scope of work, including areas to be treated, film specifications, and any special requirements, must be defined in writing.
- Project timelines are estimates and may be affected by weather, site conditions, access limitations, or coordination with other trades.
- The client is responsible for ensuring safe and reasonable access to all work areas during agreed working hours.
- Delays or additional costs arising from restricted access, unready surfaces, or other conditions outside our control may result in schedule changes or additional charges.
- Delays outside the control of The Tint Smith are not grounds for liability for damages or lost business.
9. Intellectual Property
All content on The Tint Smith website, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, icons, images, service descriptions, and other materials, is the property of The Tint Smith or its content providers and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, display, or use any content from our website or branded materials without prior written permission from The Tint Smith, except for personal, non-commercial reference as allowed by law.
10. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Georgia, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the services provided by The Tint Smith shall be brought exclusively in the appropriate state or federal courts located in Georgia.
